INternal Parts
Computers. In the 21st century, we humans rely majorly on computers and technology. With\this series, I hope that you, the person reading this, will hopefully understand and appreciate decades of work and inspiration to get us where we are today. If not, that's fine too.
There are many parts and terms that makes up computers. Some are internal and some are external. In this post, I'll go over some internal parts. Here are the components:
Processor/CPU - Where all the information gets processed; the Brain of the computer
Random Access Memory (RAM) - Temporary storage for the CPU
Fan - Keeps the computer cool
Power Supply - Controls power of electricity to what the boards can handle
NIC (Network Interface Controler) Card - Manages ethernet connections
Graphics card - Gives an output to VGA, HDMI, or other visual outputs
USB Ports - What you plug a flash drive or a phone into
CD/DVD Drive - CD/DVD port
Motherboard - The home to most components and the center of activity
Hard Drive - Where your information is stored when your computer turns off
These are the internal parts of a computer. In the next post, I'll cover the external components and devices.
Until then!
